  3. An option to make a window stay always-on-top (and one to terminate/kill it's process) by clicking the taskbar thumbnail.

Scrolling over the taskbar thumbnails passes the scroll messages to they’re respective windows (like the Tab Scope extension of Firefox).

Force thumbnails for minimized windows to keep updating.  Only Windows Media Player currently does this, afaik.

    • more thumbnail scroll wheel options:
    • using the scroll wheel to re-organize grouped windows (wheel would move the window that is initially under the cursor)
    • consecutively maximize/restore/minimize several grouped windows
    • start Flip 3D

  5. This is a feature I would be happy to pay for.

You can change an apps ID to be 'random' and therefore break it out as its own window/taskbar item but is not remembered when the instance terminates and reloads.

An example is the add-on 'DownThemAll' for Firefox. I like grouping but not for this add-on as I am constantly switching between Firefox and the download manager window.

I realise that I can permanently ungroup for the Firefox app ID but I'd prefer not to as I prefer keeping the taskbar organised (expect in certain circumstances).

    Thanks

  7. When you left mouse click a grouped button, I would like all the windows of this group to open up in the state they were in before they got unfocused. By state I mean minimized/maximized, on top/on bottom, etc.

I will give you an example so you can understand it better.

Let’s say I have three PDF-files open, each in it’s own window. One is minimized, a second is maximized, and a third is windowed hovering above the second (maximized) window. The third window is in focus.
Next, I open my webbrowser. After a while I want to open the…

  9. Some programs (jDownloader, µTorrent) have randomly generated IDs.

If 7TT taskbar inspector could always assign a specific ID when apps like these are launched, then their always/never group/label settings wouldn't be forgotten between instances.

  10. 1.Ctrl+A to select all. 2. A checkbox is needed to hide display of non-running pinned apps. Checkbox state should get saved. 3. AppID should be a separate column and the first column should be one which fetches the name of the app.

  11. The ability to adjust the [hot spot] zone of an auto hiding windows 7 Taskbar. In my case I like the task bar in vertical / right hand side mode. If I could adjust the pointer arrow striking * response zone (of the right edge of monitor) to just the middle or lower right hand side of the screen, the task bar would NOT accidentally keep reappearing when I overshoot the close button of any app at top right of screen / or same with scroll bar. This would be such a useful feature for all or any of the…

  12. choosing taskbar band color and taskbar icon box color separately
There are some tries at getting this done, but available programs don't really work well. Such a software will really be a hit since this is arguably the most common complaint about W7.

  14. When we have two or more rows of space in the taskbar, the buttons in the taskbar are not well organized

In WIN XP the taskbar buttons are kept exactly the same size, and this keeps buttons exactly aligned.

In WIN 7 the size buttons are messy when we have more rows in taskbar and lots of windows opened

  15. This, currently, is redundant with left button dragging; brings up a jump list.
It would be more useful to have it minimize a window/grouped-windows.

  16. In XP and Vista, the total number of combined windows was shown. Windows 7 Milestone 2 also showed it but it was removed for some reason.

  19. I'd find it very convenient if I could go back to the standard window menu but still be able to right-click a taskbar button and close it without the window coming into focus. Thank you for creating such a useful program :)
