Add an option to remove extra spacing from the tray/notification area.
I think it would be a great idea to add an option that removes all of the extra spacing between the icons in the tray/notification area. With the option selected, the amount of spacing in the tray would return to that of the previous versions of Windows.
If you could have an option to make the system tray icons packed closer together (as close as they were in Windows XP) it would be so awesome!
I strongly agree with this. Everything in Windows 7's taskbar is taller. In addition to the systray icons, taskbar buttons and quick launch buttons are also taller, signicantly reducing the number of items one can have in the same amount of space. Things seem to be almost 50% taller on Windows 7; a two row taskbar in Win7 takes up nearly as much space as a three row classic taskbar from XP.
It should also work with the vertical taskbar.
