put a close button to the taskbar inspector
somehow I managed to exit "7 taskbar tweaker" with the taskbar inspector still being open...and I can not close it anymore (but fortunately make it very small so it does not take too much space)..
also I could not find the corresponding process in the task manager, so it would be useful (and probably easy to implement) to have a little red close button for the taskbar inspector..
I’m pretty sure the hanging inspector bug is gone several versions ago.
If not, let me know.

OK, can you help me catch this bug?
Do you encounter it often?
Are there any special actions after which the bug appears?
Also: Do you have a multicore processor?P.S. To temporary fix this, you can restart explorer, no need to restart your PC.

'The Hanging Inspector', as you call it, is still very much there.
I just downloaded and installed 7TT, latest version, and I'm having the same problem: Taskbar Inspector is open en stays open.
Since the previous comments talk about crashing Explorer, I'm afraid to touch anything until ready to finish my work and restart my computer.
If this problem persists, it's a deal-breaker for me - no matter how great I think the program itself is.
Very much hope you can fix it!! -

What MainTrane wrote is correct, Taskbar Inspector runs as an explorer's thread.
A close button is not going to help much. It's a bug which needs to be fixed (if not already, MainTrane told me he encountered it in previous versions, but it does not happen with the newer ones). Please tell me which version do you use, and if possible, a way to reproduce the bug.

Taskbar Inspector is launched from the users TEMP directory as a temp file and injected as a handle of explorer.exe. That is why exiting 7TT has no effect on it.
If stuck open, the individual thread for Taskbar Inspector cannot be terminated without crashing Explorer.
This idea would make terminating TI when it becomes stuck on screen easier, but would still crash Explorer!
